Artisan glass featured at the residence of Finlands ambassador in Stockholm

We’re excited to announce that Finnish design is garnering increasing international recognition, and our recent showcase at the residence of Finnish Ambassador in Stockholm was a great success. The events success was made possible by the incredible staff at the embassy, Finnish Design Embassy and Grand Relations for their invaluable support and PR.

We at Essis by Lasilinkki, alongside with Okko Designs products, proudly presented our artisan glass creations to an audience of industry professionals, highlighting Finnish design on an international stage. We unveiled our exciting new and first international collaboration with renowned Swedish designer and interior architect Tekla Evelina Severin. Together, we introduced the vibrant PLAY Collection, featuring two stunning artisan glass tables, Honey and Jam. These tables highlight the captivating qualities of textured glass, interacting dynamically with transparency, diffusion, light, and shadow.

The residence of Finnish Ambassador provided a stunning backdrop, with attendees including industry experts, designers, architects, and media. The feedback we received was very positive, with many praising the craftsmanship and design behind our artisan glasses. Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event a memorable celebration of design and creativity! We look forward to continuing to create stunning, innovative glass designs for interior spaces across the globe.

For us at Essis by Lasilinkki, this event marked an important milestone in our journey toward international recognition. We’ve long dreamed of showcasing our Finnish glass artistry abroad, and the event in Stockholm allowed us to share our passion with a wider audience. Seeing our pieces—meticulously crafted in Kuopio—admired by industry leaders and design enthusiasts was an incredible experience.

What is artisan glass?

Artisan glass is hand made in big fusing kilns by reshaping the surface of glass using various techniques and molds to create unique designs.
