Showcasing Scandinavian Craftsmanship: Miss Clara by Nobis, Stockholm

At Essis by Lasilinkki, we take pride in merging traditional craftsmanship with modern design, creating glassworks that transform spaces into experiences. This summer we had the privilege of contributing to the new conference area in the heart of Stockholm: the Miss Clara by Nobis hotel. The project allowed us to demonstrate our dedication to quality and artistry on an international stage.

For the new conference area at Miss Clara by Nobis, we were tasked with creating a glass wall to an entrance to the conference room. Our solution was a custom-designed glass wall, crafted using our bronze artisan stiped glass. This glass, with its’ beautiful bronze stripes, was carefully chosen to complement the hotel’s aesthetics while also being durable due to being 8 mm thick, tempered glass.

The glass wall consists of eight bronze artisan glass panels. Every piece was handmade, with sanded edges to ensure a flawless finish that meets both aesthetic and safety standards. The result is a visually stunning entrance that not only serves as a functional barrier but also as a statement piece and a focal point, enhancing the overall experience of the conference area.

During the early discussions, the hotel manager Gustavo Catenacci was impressed with the craftmanship and the overall feel of the product, noting that from the moment he saw the samples we sent.

This project is a significant reference for Essis, as it highlights our ability to deliver bespoke glass solutions that are both beautiful and functional. While it is one of our first major international projects, we approach it with the same dedication and craftsmanship that have made us a trusted name in Finland for over 40 years.

”Miss Clara’s new meeting and event space is unique and demands a first impression that truly stands out. In collaboration with our architects at Wingårdhs and the glass masters at Essis by Lasilinkki, we meticulously designed the entrance vestibule with glass as the focal point. The result is an elegant and decorative glass sculpture that beautifully complements the rest of the lounge’s interior”

Working closely together with Wingårdhs

We had the pleasure of collaborating with one of Sweden’s most renowned architectural firms, Wingårdhs, to bring this project to life. Their vision and expertise were crucial in integrating our glasswork seamlessly into the overall design of the conference area.

“We wanted to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere experienced from both outside and inside the space. “Glow” was a leading word in the concept for the space and to achieve that effect material choice played an important role. The glass from Essis by Lasilinkki used in the entrance vestibule reflects light and adds an extra dimension to the space.”

Our partnership with Wingårdhs was a perfect blend of architectural excellence and artisan craftsmanship, resulting in a space that not only meets but exceeds expectations.

Collaboration with RIHAB

The automation system and installation of our custom profiles were handled by the construction company RIHAB, drawing on their experience in hotel and restaurant renovations. Their work ensured smooth integration of both the automation and sliding glass door components, resulting in a cohesive solution.

The standard upper profiles for the sliding glass doors were supplied by us, in alignment with the specifications laid out by the designer. The aluminum profiles for artisan striped glasses were custom-painted, ensuring a unique finish with a special shade selected to enhance the overall aesthetic.

Looking ahead

Essis by Lasilinkki has been steadily expanding beyond Finland, working on inspiring architectural projects in the Nordics.
